The IslandDER safely “islands”, or disconnects, a customer from the grid, creating a single premise microgrid. Once connected at the meter socket and activated, this innovative hardware product safely allows a home or business to use backup power from a plug-in electric vehicle (PEV), battery system, or rooftop solar system in the event of a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) or other grid outage. The Backup Bridge provides critical transformation necessary to manage the input power and electrical frequency into a home.
